Lingam Stones are found in the Narmada River located in India.  They are polished and elliptically shaped as the result of natural river tumbling. Lingam Stones have distinctive banding of red, maroon, and brown color patterns of iron oxide and other mineral deposits. Lingam stones are also referred to as Banalinga, Banashivalingas, and Shiva Lingam.

Lingams are view upon as a type of sacred stone symbolic of the powers of Shiva in the Hindu culture. These river stones represent divinity and have traditionally been used for rituals, in temples, and on altars. As a sacred river stone, Lingams are thought to have regenerative powers that resonate with energies representing creation, the flow of time, movement, and purification.
